Brand new sailing yacht FITZROVIA joins Mediterranean yacht charter fleet as YYachts' first hybrid-powered Y8

By Anna Ingles   10 September 2026

Fresh from the shipyard and making her global premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival, brand-new sailing yacht FITZROVIA has entered the charter market, bringing hybrid propulsion to the YYachts Y8 series for the first time.

Delivered in 2026, 78'8" (23.99m) charter yacht FITZROVIA has been designed by Surge Projects' Javier Jaudenes, with interiors by David Thulstrup and the YYachts Design Team.

Her hybrid system allows near-zero-emission cruising in silent mode, offering a quiet and eco-aware experience for those ready to explore the Med.

FITZROVIA's elegant sailing yacht exterior

FITZROVIA has clean, timeless lines associated with the fleet of YYachts yacht charters while introducing a number of changes beneath the surface compared to previous yachts from the yard.

The hybrid propulsion system is a first for YYachts, allowing sailing yacht charter FITZROVIA to cruise in silent mode with reduced emissions.

For charter guests, this creates the opportunity to spend more time enjoying the sailing environment with minimal engine noise, while retaining the performance and comfort expected from a modern luxury yacht charter.

Exterior spaces are made for enjoying the sun of the West Mediterranean and are complemented by sunpads and a tender garage, providing practical facilities for days spent at anchor and easy access to the water.

Keeping guests busy, FITZROVIA carries a selection of equipment for making the most of Mediterranean anchorages, with two paddleboards, a wakeboard, waterskis, and a four-person towable doughnut among the available toys.

Two sea-scooters add another option for exploring around the charter yacht, while snorkeling equipment provides an easy way to explore shallow bays and clear coastal waters.

Superyacht FITZROVIA is a thrilling yacht charter for those looking to cruise the open seas in large numbers in the utmost comfort

Light-filled interiors by David Thulstrup

Inside, charter yacht FITZROVIA takes a deliberately restrained approach, with David Thulstrup and the YYachts Design Team creating a light-filled environment intended to feel larger than the yacht's 23.99m length might suggest.

The additional interior volume is a direct result of the Y8's revised layout, with around 20% more space than previous models. Moving the engine room beneath the saloon floor has also allowed the accommodation and living areas to make more efficient use of the available space, making FITZROVIA even more ideal for family yacht charters and other mixed groups.

The result is an interior that emphasizes clean lines, natural light and visual continuity, complementing the understated character of the yacht's exterior design.

FITZROVIA accommodates up to six charter guests across three cabins, comprising a spacious master, one double cabin, and a twin.

A crew of up to three is also carried onboard, supporting the yacht's charter program and allowing guests to focus on sailing, watersports and time ashore throughout their Mediterranean yacht charter itinerary.

FITZROVIA is available for popular Mediterranean cruising grounds, currently including Croatia, France, Italy, Malta, and Montenegro. Her appearance at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival places her among the new yachts being introduced to the charter market for the current season.
