Newly Delivered 102m Superyacht Charter NIXIE Joins Mediterranean Market Ahead of Monaco Yacht Show Debut

By Anna Ingles   26 June 2026

The Mediterranean yacht charter fleet has welcomed a significant new arrival with the official delivery of the 102.4-meter superyacht NIXIE, one of the largest new charter yachts to enter the market this season.

Originally commissioned in September 2021 under the project name JASSJ, superyacht charter NIXIE has followed a closely watched construction timeline, from the first sighting of her bare hull in December 2023 through launch and extensive sea trials in February and May 2026. With delivery now complete, NIXIE is preparing for her inaugural Mediterranean charter season before making her global debut at the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show.

At 335.11ft (102.4m), the new Lürssen superyacht joins the exclusive group of the world's largest yachts for charter, raising the benchmark once again for ultra-luxury yacht rentals.

From Project JASSJ to Charter Yacht NIXIE

While many of today's largest superyachts remain private, superyacht charter NIXIE has been conceived from the outset with the charter market in mind.

The project first entered the public eye after being commissioned in September 2021, though many details were kept under wraps for some time. Construction progressed steadily behind closed doors before enthusiasts caught the first glimpse of her bare steel hull in December 2023.

Under Construction as JASSJ Delivered as NIXIE

Momentum accelerated in February 2026 when NIXIE was launched from the Lürssen facility and embarked on her first series of sea trials. Following additional testing in the Baltic Sea to validate performance and onboard systems, she has now officially been delivered, allowing preparations to begin for her first Mediterranean charter season.

The timing is particularly notable. Rather than entering service quietly, NIXIE will spend the summer cruising some of the Mediterranean's most sought-after charter destinations before appearing on the world stage during the Monaco Yacht Show.

Enticing Exterior Design By RWD

As expected from a modern 100-meter-plus Lürssen charter yacht, NIXIE has been designed to maximize both scale and guest experience without sacrificing elegance.

Her expansive exterior decks are arranged to create multiple social spaces rather than a single focal point. A large swimming pool, commercial-certified helipad, outdoor cinema, beach club, numerous lounge areas, and generous dining spaces allow guests to spread across the yacht whether entertaining, relaxing, or enjoying time at anchor.

The exterior also embraces today's emphasis on wellness, with direct access between waterside amenities and dedicated spa facilities, while underwater lighting transforms the charter yacht after sunset.

What distinguishes motor yacht charter NIXIE is not simply her length but the breadth of experiences she can offer during a charter.

A substantial collection of water toys means she can transform secluded anchorages into private adventure playgrounds. Some of the equipment confirmed so far to be available includes:

  • Jet Skis and Seabobs
  • Flyboards, Wakeboards, and Scuba Equipment
  • Kneeboards and Surfboards
  • Towable inflatables and more!

Meanwhile, for charter guests who enjoy quieter moments, time can be spent enjoying the spa, beach club, swimming pool, or outdoor cinema.

Initial Interior Design Insights

Also penned by RWD, the interiors have been framed around space, privacy, and long-term comfort rather than excessive ornamentation.

Offering the ambiance of a private luxury resort rather than a traditional yacht, charter guests onboard NIXIE can expect a full spa complex, a beauty salon, a movie theater, an elevator connecting guest decks for seamless movement, and extensive wellness facilities that allow guests to enjoy extended voyages in the Med without compromise.

Natural light throughout the guest spaces also helps soften the yacht's impressive volume while maintaining uninterrupted sea views throughout indulgent yacht charters in the West Mediterranean.

With plenty of onboard entertainment, motor yacht NIXIE is an exceptional yacht charter choice

NIXIE's accommodation welcomes up to 12 charter guests across ten cabins, including an impressive owner's apartment complete with private study, dressing room, and his-and-hers bathrooms. A high crew count of 34 ensures service remains seamless despite the yacht's considerable size.

Lürssen Continues an Extraordinary Year for 100m+ Deliveries

In addition to becoming one of the newest additions to the global yacht charter fleet, NIXIE also represents another milestone in what has become an exceptional year for German shipyard Lürssen.

With her delivery now complete, the renowned builder has delivered five superyachts exceeding 100 meters in length during 2026, a milestone that indeed reflects the ongoing demand for larger yachts.

Alongside NIXIE, the 100m+ lineup delivered from the shipyard in 2026 includes 383.1ft (117m) BOARDWALK, 440ft (134.22m) MY DEEP BLUE, 357.7ft (109m) O3, and 374.8ft (114.2m) NAUSICAA.
