The 73m/239’5 expedition charter yacht NAIA (previously known as PEGASO) has completed her three month refit at the Freire Shipyard in Spain, the same yard from which she was launched to worldwide acclaim in 2011.
NAIA is known for being one of the most unique and best-equipped luxury yachts on the global charter fleet and this latest refit will ensure that she is top condition ready for the upcoming summer season. Designed for world exploration and scientific research missions as well as luxury charter vacations, her dedicated laboratory has now been replaced with two additional crew cabins to further accommodate her on board team of 22.
The previously damaged stern thrusters have been replaced with a new state-of-the-art Voith propulsion set whilst some antifouling and propeller and steering tests were also completed. Freire’s in-house team took care of all of the structural work, piping, cabling and HVAC work and brought in Metrica for the carpentry and Aqualuce for the lighting.
NAIA’s Mark Berryman designed interior remains as impressive as it was the day she was launched, featuring contemporary, elegant styling, huge windows and skylights and the latest audio visual equipment throughout. She also boasts an exceptional selection of facilities ranging from a helipad, movie theatre and all-access elevator to a five-person submarine.
NAIA is available for charter in the Mediterranean this summer at weekly rates starting from €525,000, contact your charter broker for more details. She will be attending the MYBA Charter show in Genoa from the 28th April - 2nd May 2014.
