The 67th edition of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) has closed its doors after five days, bringing together a fleet of more than 1,300 yachts and luxury yacht charters across six locations in Florida.
Running from October 28 to November 1, the 2026 edition of FLIBS welcomed more than 200 superyachts, including a significant collection of charter yachts, while new visitor experiences and a series of industry announcements added to the immersive program.
Despite weather concerns and a king tide presenting challenges at the start of the event, the show went ahead with a busy schedule of yacht displays, product launches, and opportunities to explore the latest developments in the marine industry. Exhibitors reported strong sales throughout the week, underlining the importance of Fort Lauderdale as a meeting point for yacht buyers, brokers, builders, and charter professionals.
The largest yacht attending FLIBS 2026 was 300.2ft (91.5m) superyacht DRAAK, formerly the charter yacht TRANQUILITY. Following a substantial rebuild, she now serves as a support vessel for LEVIATHAN and arrived in Fort Lauderdale after appearing at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.
Her transformation has been documented in our feature on Oceanco's Major Rebuild of a Former Charter Icon.
For charter visitors, the largest yacht in attendance was 197ft (60.05m) superyacht charter ROCK.IT. Built by Feadship and last refitted in 2024, she features interiors by Sinot Yacht Design and accommodates up to 11 guests. Her exterior spaces include areas for lounging and alfresco dining, while a dedicated toy collection supports time on the water.
Expedition charter yacht SCINTILLA MARIS also formed part of the attending fleet. Her appearance provided another example of the range of yacht types represented at the show, with expedition yachts offering a different approach to extended cruising and remote charter destinations.
Other charter yachts on display included 190.11ft (58.2m) yacht rental CARPE DIEM at Superyacht Village, 160ft (48.77m) charter yacht NO BAD IDEAS and 145ft (44.2m) luxury yacht charter HEEUS at Hall of Fame Marina, and 133ft (40.54m) yacht charter ALPHA WAVES at Pier Sixty-Six.
This year, we gave attendees more ways to explore the show. Guests got a first look at the newest yachts on the market and experienced boating from every angle: in the air, on the water, and on the docks.
FLIBS 2026 made some changes to its layout, operating across six locations rather than the USUAL seven. With Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina/17th Street Basin no longer part of the show, yachts that would previously have been displayed in those areas were redistributed across the remaining venues.
There were also several additions to the visitor experience. At Las Olas Marina, a floating pickleball court hosted a tournament exclusively for yacht crew, providing an activity away from the docks, where visitors enjoyed a competitive tournament between crew members.
Wave Helicopters introduced an aerial shuttle service connecting Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport with a temporary landing platform at Pier Sixty-Six, alongside 10-minute sightseeing flights.
The Windward VIP Experience also returned with a change to its layout. The Cabana Club moved to Bahia Mar Marina, while the Windward VIP Lounge remained within Superyacht Village. Food was provided by chefs Ryan O'Sullivan of Hell's Kitchen and Dave White, known for Below Deck and Chopped .
Seminars and watersports demonstrations added further opportunities to engage with the show beyond the yacht displays, while Superyacht Village remained a focal point for visitors interested in larger vessels and the USA yacht charter fleet.
The 2026 FOX Sports Best of Show awards recognized new yachts across two size categories. The Azimut Grande 30M received the award for yachts over 60ft, while the Valhalla 46 Sport Yacht won in the under-60ft category.
The Valhalla result marked a second consecutive win for the brand, following the Valhalla 55 Sport Yacht's award in 2025. Other finalists included the Fleming 60 and Pearl 100 Hybrid in the larger category, with the SŌLACE 41CT, Princess C48, and Beneteau Gran Turismo 50 also shortlisted in the smaller category.
An independent judging panel drawn from the sports and media industries assessed the debut vessels across design, performance, technology, and architecture.
Winner of the Best of Show award for yachts over 60ft, there's one Azimut Grande 30M charter yacht on the market in the form of yacht rental MEMORIES TOO.
Already looking ahead to 2027, the Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) and Informa Markets introduced plans for RefitX, a new conference and exhibition focused on yacht repair and refit.
Scheduled to make its debut on October 27–28, 2027, RefitX will become the official refit event of the 2027 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Its introduction reflects the importance of the refit sector to the wider yachting industry, particularly in a market with a substantial fleet of large yachts requiring ongoing maintenance and upgrades.
FLIBS shows the world what South Florida's marine industry can do, and RefitX builds on that strength.
With the 2026 show now complete, FLIBS has once again brought a broad selection of the North America yacht charter fleet together in Fort Lauderdale. The attending yachts offered a useful opportunity to compare different sizes, layouts, and onboard experiences in one location, while the wider event highlighted the continued activity of the US yacht market.
Gearing up for next year, the dates for the 2027 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show are scheduled for 27 - 31 October.
