Fort Lauderdale Boat Show 2019 (FLIBS)

Fort Lauderdale, Florida

30 Oct - 3 Nov 2019

By Katia Damborsky

Now entering its 60th edition, the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show (FLIBS) has cemented itself as one of the highlights of the international yachting calendar.

For five action-packed days, around 1,200 boats will be on display across seven different show locations in Florida, transforming the city of Fort Lauderdale into a hive of on-the-water activity. There will be a dazzling fleet of superyachts on the line-up for the show's landmark 60th edition, including some of the year's most exciting new launches.

As ever, FLIBS is expected to attract tens of thousands of visitors from around the globe, including boating enthusiasts, serious buyers and industry professionals.

In-between perusing the superyachts on display, show-goers can expect to find around 1,000 exhibitors lined up along the boardwalks, including esteemed shipyards and prestigious brokerage firms. They will be presenting their latest concepts, as well as supplying useful information for prospective clients and interested onlookers.

New Superyacht Village

The Superyacht Village will be unveiled at FLIBS for the first time this year. Located along Pier 66, the new 3.5 acre zone will play host to yachts measuring up to 400 feet (or 121 metres) and aims to cater to an increased number of affluent buyers and superyacht charter clients.

2019 will also see Lurssen's 95m/312ft motor yacht MADSUMMER  on display, showing off her elegant Harrison Eidsgaard exteriors at the Superyacht Village.

The zone is split between an on-land exhibition space and in-water area. The on-land zone will act as a great social setting for networking events including wine tastings, pop-up boutiques and interactive exhibits.

Auxiliary Events

As well as excitement on the water, there will be a range of auxiliary events on land. Among them will be informative seminars on a selection of topics and talks given by key players in the boating industry.

Enlivening proceedings, there will be plenty of festivities including glamorous parties and social mixers. After its successful debut last year, FLIBS’ yacht chef competition will be back for its second edition, seeing a new selection of yacht chefs battle it out for a prestigious Wine Enthusiast award. Onlookers can sample mouthwatering cuisine and sip cocktails while watching the action unfold.
