Hosted at Monaco Yacht Club on May 29, the first international conference dedicated to explorer yachts will be taking place next week.
Shining the light on the rapidly-growing market for expedition yachts, the Explorer Yachts Summit will unite owners, captains and industry professionals for a day-long convention in the heart of Monaco.
As well as giving attendees the chance to hear from a panel of expert speakers, there are also ample opportunities to network with some of the pioneers of this new and fascinating field.
With a rise in the demand for superyachts capable of circumnavigating the most far-flung corners of our globe, the symposium aims to highlight innovative design, construction and operation concepts which can be used to create cutting-edge expedition yachts.
Among the guest speakers, attendees can enjoy invaluable insight from Bart Bouwhuis, CEO of Vripack Yacht Design and Mark Vermeulen, Director of Products & Developments for Amels, Damen Yacht Support and Damen SeaExplorer.
Jim Aladan, captain of the 75m/246ft superyacht CLOUDBREAK and Sean Meagher, captain of the 47m/152ft superyacht LATITUDE will also be speaking at the event.
They will be drawing on their experience travelling to some of the most undiscovered pocket of the globe at the helm of motor yachts, and discussing the unique logistical approach involved in getting there.
The symposium aims to highlight innovative design, construction and operation concepts which can be used to create cutting-edge explorer yachts.
The event is being held in conjunction with Lurssen, Triton Submarines, providers of state-of-the-art submersibles for superyacht owners and Warsila, a corporation which manufactures and services sustainable power for the marine industry. Representatives from each of these companies will be attending the conference.
The first Explorer Yachts Summit will begin at 8.30am on Wednesday 29 May and finishing with a cocktail reception at 5:45pm.
