Sailing Yachts from the Charter Fleet to Attend the Monaco Yacht Show 2016

By Rebecca Bradbury   16 September 2016

An impressive selection of sailing yachts from the global charter fleet will be brought together at the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show when it gets underway on 28th September in Monte Carlo’s iconic Port Hercules.

PANTHALASSA

The 56m/184ft luxury yacht PANTHALASSA is currently the third largest sailing yacht lined up to attend the Monaco superyacht event and, boasting elegant, curved lines penned by renowned naval architect Ron Holland, she is sure to wow show visitors.

Launched by Perini Navi in 2010, she is also bestowed with the interior design pedigree of London-based Foster + Partners, who have created an innovative, open plan style of interior, which makes the most of the yacht’s generous, light-filled spaces.

Distinguishing features include a showstopper of a staircase wrapped in translucent Perspex rods below a skylight, a formal dining room with white leather wall panels, a sound-proof cinema room, a secluded and sunken aft deck, and a sundeck that serves as a relaxation hub.

She is capable of sleeping up to 12 guests in six double staterooms, all beautifully styled with leather-panelled walls, luxe silk rugs, sculpted furniture and marble en suites.

SILENCIO

Another Perini Navi build appearing at 2016's Monaco Yacht Show will be the 50m/163ft charter yacht SILENCIO, delivered by the Italian yard in 2001, but reaping the benefits of a new interior design by French Designer Christian Liaigre.

Transformed in 2012, she now features gorgeous Cherrywood panelling throughout her spacious main salon, enclosed dining room and separate library. Warm, welcoming and bathed in natural light, these living areas strike an exceptional balance between elegance and comfort.

She has a proven sailing performance too, winning a number of regattas over the past three years. Most recently, in 2015, she sailed to success at the New Zealand Millennium Cup in the Bay of Islands.

Able to sleep up to eight guests in five cabins, she is equipped with generous deck areas designed for lounging, dining and socialising as well as an enviable selection of water toys.

HEUREKA

A high-performance sloop, the 45m/148ft sailing yacht HEUREKA will also be in Monaco, showcasing her eye-catching, minimalist style, designed by Dixon Yacht Design and delivered by Dutch shipyard Holland Jachtbouw in 2014.

Highlights of her design include a telescopic lifting keel, allowing her to reach shallow anchorages and bays other yachts of her size cannot access, and a double hinging transom, which also serves as swimming platform.

Her open plan interior, meanwhile, is styled by Rhoades Young Design and combines rich woods with white wall panels and furnishings for a fuss-free, contemporary look. Six charter guests can be accommodated in three staterooms.

Other highlights include a chic alfresco dining area in the aft cockpit covered by a hydraulically operated Bimini and a plethora of water toys, including dive equipment.

LUDYNOSA G

The 38m/123ft sailing yacht ‘Ludynosa G’ is sure to turn heads in Port Hercules thanks to her distinctive, glossy brown hull and sleek white superstructure from esteemed naval architect Dubois.

Built by Fitzroy Yachts in New Zealand, the aluminium sloop’s graceful exterior styling is matched perfectly by her beautiful, Redman Whitely Dixon interior. Expect rich, high-gloss wall panels offset by a neutral colour palette for a timeless look.

Well-appointed deck areas include a tender well, which doubles as a sumptuous tented area for relaxing in the shade, a sunning area above the pilot house and a spacious alfresco dining area in the large cockpit.

Able to sleep up to 10 guests, the charter yacht offers a full-beam master suite, a VIP cabin and two twin cabins each with a Pullman.

SHAMANNA

A new delivery for 2016, the 35m/115ft sailing yacht SHAMANNA is the latest flagship from Nautor’s Swan. The result of a partnership between the Finnish shipyard and naval architect German Frers, she is one of the must-see yachts at this year’s show.

With a plumb bow, T-bulb performance keel, wide stern and twin rudders to increase responsiveness, the Swan 115 has been engineered for an outstanding performance yet her uncluttered decks offer unobstructed ocean vistas and large cockpit in which to relax.

Her Scandinavian-style interior is also sure to impress. Light, airy and equipped with all the essentials for modern living, her inside areas form the perfect retreat after spending a busy day on the water.

Four staterooms on board, consisting of two double cabins and two single cabins, enable her to sleep up to eight guests on a luxury yacht charter.
