Yachts Miami Beach 2017 closed its doors yesterday evening after five fantastic days of in-water yacht displays and exclusive superyacht showcases in the vibrant city of Miami.
Running from 16th to 10th February, this year’s Yachts Miami Beach was hailed a huge success as visitors flocked to see the show’s new look and layout changes, as well as the huge on-water-only display of vessels, which ran for more than a mile along Collins Avenue in the heart of Miami.
Although the sun wasn’t shining, show attendees were out in full force, flooding the picturesque waterfront location along Indian Creek Waterway through five new artfully designed show entrances, each with attractive wayfinding graphics and an information booth.

Positive exhibitor feedback demonstrates how the new features created an interactive and inviting sales environment, with more high quality boat buyers reported to be in attendance than previous years. This is said to be down to the decision to install gates and charter admission.
Back for a second year at Island Gardens Deep Harbour on Watson Island was Superyacht Miami – an invitation-only ‘show within a show’ featuring some of the world’s finest superyachts such as the 72m/236ft charter yacht AXIOMA and Benetti’s 63m/207ft charter yacht 11:11.
Another trend was for drone-captured aerial shots of the scores of yachts lined up together. Some of the best images are listed below and for even more pictures, read our article on the Best Photos Live from Miami Beach 2017.
