The magnificent 84m/273ft superyacht SAVANNAH from the renowned Feadship shipyard picked up three awards at yesterday’s highly-anticipated 2016 ShowBoats Design Awards.
Celebrating the creative talents behind the most innovative, elegant and inspiring new superyachts, the awards were presented in a glitzy ceremony run as part of the Superyacht Design Symposium in Kitzbühel, Austria.
SAVANNAH was the only charter yacht to be recognised at the awards, scooping the winning spot in three out of the four categories she was nominated in. These included the ‘Exterior Styling & Design – Motor Yacht Above 500GT’ and the ‘Interior Layout & Design Award – Motor Yacht Above 500GT’, both as a result of CG Design’s styling.
SAVANNAH also collected the ‘Holistic Design Award’ for her ‘uninterrupted aesthetic vocabulary and harmony'
Superyacht SAVANNAH also collected the motor yacht’s ‘Holistic Design Award’, with the judges commending her ‘uninterrupted aesthetic vocabulary and harmony unequalled by any other contender’.
The big winner of 2016 was Baltic Yachts’ 35m/115ft sailing yacht NIKITA, who picked up four awards, recognising her interior and exterior styling as well as her architecture and holistic design.
Other award winners included the 60m/197ft motor yacht ‘Madame Kate’ and the 38m/125ft motor yacht ‘Iron Man’, both coming out on top thanks to their navel architecture from Amels and Benetti respectively.
