Alloy Sailing Yacht VERTIGO Signs Up to Antigua Charter Yacht Show

By Rebecca Bradbury   8 November 2016

The New Zealand-built 67m/220ft superyacht VERTIGO is lined up to attend the upcoming Antigua Charter Yacht Show, taking place on the Caribbean island from December 4th to 10th.

When VERTIGO was launched from Alloy Yachts in 2011, she was awarded numerous accolades for both her interior and exterior design and now, attending the Antigua Charter Yacht Show, she will continue to wow the superyacht industry.

Docked in the Antigua Yacht Club Marina, the ketch will be easily recognisable thanks to her sleek, aerodynamic and contemporary lines penned by the talented hand of Philippe Briand. Plus, with her silver superstructure appearing to float on glass, she is extremely easy on the eye.

Charter professionals stepping aboard in Antigua will be able to see her exterior areas up close before undertaking a tour of her stunning Christian Liaigre interiors, reminiscent of an urban-style loft apartment.

Among her deck spaces is a stunning aft deck cockpit where charter guests can dine alfresco as well as catch up on the day’s activities over a refreshing drink, and aft of this area is a 10-person Jacuzzi and retractable sunpads.

It is possible to enjoy outdoor movie nights here too, while daytime relaxation can continue onto the flybridge where more lounging options await. Those more active guests, however, will love working out in the midarette gym and cooling off in the glittering waters afterwards.

Entering the sailing yacht through the aft cockpit leads to the main salon, where those on board will first be introduced to Liaigre’s styling, which intersperses a colour palette of black and white with tan accents and shades of grey.

Floors are finished in white-stained solid oak, the joinery combines white lacquered surfaces with tinted walnut and wood veneers finished in black, and the main salon centres on a seating area formed of black and tan sofas.

Forward to starboard is a dining area, where guests can sit down for formal meals, and a central staircase leads down to the lower deck where a master suite, two doubles cabins and two flexible cabins await, making luxury yacht VERTIGO ideal for family yacht charters.

The stunning Christian Liaigre interiors aboard VERTIGO is reminiscent of an urban-style loft apartment.
