The 27.43m/90' expedition yacht 'Explorer VIII' (ex. Phenix) was built by MCP Yachts in Brazil. Her interior is styled by design house Norris and she was completed in 2004. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of MCP Yachts and she was last refitted in 2015.
Explorer VIII has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising two VIP cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 4 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with grp/teak decks, she benefits from a semi-displacement hull to provide exceptional seakeeping and impressive speeds. Powered by twin diesel MAN (V10 D2840LE403) 10-cylinder 1,050hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 10 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 18 knots with a range of up to 2,000 nautical miles from her 18,200 litre fuel tanks. Her water tanks store around 7,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to Lloyds Register G6 Mono, HSC classification society rules.
