The 35.05m/115' motor yacht 'Fan-Sea' (ex. Scorpio) was built by Sovereign Yachts in New Zealand at their Richmond shipyard. Her interior is styled by American designer design house Jonathan Quinn Barnett and she was completed in 1998. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Jack Sarin and she was last refitted in 2007.
Fan-Sea has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 4 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Built with a GRP hull and GRP superstructure, with teak decks, she benefits from a semi-displacement hull to provide exceptional seakeeping and impressive speeds. Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 2000 M90) 16-cylinder 1,800hp engines running at 1800rpm, she comfortably cruises at 20 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 24 knots with a range of up to 2,500 nautical miles from her 26,495 litre fuel tanks at 12 knots. Her low draft of 1.68m/5'6" makes her primed for accessing shallow areas and cruising close to the shorelines. Fan-Sea features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels. Her water tanks store around 3,785 Litres of fresh water.
