If you are chartering a yacht privately during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, there are a few things to bear in mind in order for your race week to run smoothly.
To enhance your experience at the iconic racing event, Yas Marina has some guidelines for visitors to follow. Whether you're watching the racing from the comfort of a superyacht or stepping on land to indulge in the electric party offerings, it's important to be aware of the following ground rules.
Once your yacht is berthed, it will not be permitted to move around the marina. Tenders will be allowed to move, but only within marina boundaries.
The Abu Dhabi Coast Guard is allowed to conduct searches of your berthed superyacht whenever it chooses from Sunday 18 November.
The use of personal water toys is not permitted within Yas Marina.
Your charter broker or crew will be able to supply you with more information about catering. But it’s important to note there is an approved list of caterers available, and charterers cannot use any company not on the list. Any unapproved catering company will be prohibited from entering Yas Marina. Delivery of catering is between 6am and 2pm each day.
Yachts berthed at Yas Marina should not play loud music after 2am.
During the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Yas Marina will offer a range of services to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible.
There will be transportation available at the event. For more information, read our article ‘How to get around Yas Marina’.
The marina will provide complimentary wi-fi for guests and separate internet access for berth holders.
There will be live streaming of the races on a large screen in the north-eastern portion of the marina, so you can watch the races even if you have not secured a berth with track views. To find out more, read our article where to watch the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix: picking the best berth.
