Nanny Cay Marina, BVI
November
The Charter Yacht Society (CYS) will bring CYS members, visiting charter yachts and brokers together for its 38th annual show in November 2019.
Running for four days, the CYS BVI Charter Yacht Show 2019 will take place at the Nanny Cay Resort and Marina in the British Virgin Islands. As always, the show will signal the start of the Caribbean cruising season and present the fleet of yachts which will be open for charter in the region over the winter.
The luxury yachts in attendance will open their doors during the day, welcoming aboard brokers for guided tours and to meet the captains and crews. Industry professionals will then be equipped with the insider knowledge needed to best match their clients with a superyacht for the upcoming season.
After the hurricanes of 2017, the show returned to its usual scale last year and the upcoming edition will continue to provide a full programme of yachts, attendees and activities.
One of the most anticipated events will be the culinary contest where chefs from the registered vessels go head to head in an attempt to wow the judges with their creative dishes. Every edition presents a new theme and, last year, competitors were tasked with making two vegan courses.
Other crew members will also be in the spotlight with the ‘Best in Show’ competition, judged by a selection of anonymous brokers who will rate the yacht and crew on lots of different criteria.
The social programme will include yacht hops, yacht dinners, a quiz night, broker land and sea tours and a beachside farewell dinner and awards ceremony on the final evening.
