Bahamas Charter Yacht Show

Nassau

28 Jan - 1 Feb 2026

By Katie Scott

An established highlight on the winter yachting calendar, the Bahamas Charter Yacht Show offers a showcase of some of the finest luxury charter yachts available throughout the Bahamas and wider Caribbean.

First launched in 2023, the show is a trade-only event designed to connect brokers, captains, and crew while deepening understanding of the many advantages of exploring the Bahamian archipelagos.

Combining in-depth yacht tours with cultural experiences, hospitality showcases, and crew competitions, the Bahamas Charter Yacht Show provides an immersive perspective on what charter guests can expect when exploring this idyllic island chain.

About the Bahamas Charter Yacht Show

Held annually across Nassau and Paradise Island, the Bahamas Charter Yacht Show brings together a curated fleet of Bahamas yacht charters that are available for the winter and spring Caribbean charter season.

Rather than being a public exhibition, it is an event designed to help brokers experience each yacht firsthand, so they can confidently match clients with the perfect yacht rental, cabin layout, and onboard service style for a Bahamian getaway.

Organized by IYBA (International Yacht Brokers Association) in collaboration with the Association of Bahamas Marinas, the four-day event presents brokers and industry professionals with access to an exclusive program, which includes:

  • Guided onboard tours with Captains and crews
  • Insight into new refits, upgraded guest areas, and water toy selections
  • Regional briefings on weather patterns, cruising permits, and anchorage planning
  • Hosted social gatherings across participating marinas

Whether acting on their own or on behalf of clients, those attending the Bahamas Charter Yacht Show can experience premium dining, entertainment, and cultural influences of New Providence, and the Bahamas as a whole, building a solid understanding of the region to develop tailored Bahamas yacht charter itineraries.

Where the Show Takes Place: Participating Marinas

Spanning multiple marinas across Nassau and Paradise Island, the Bahamas Charter Yacht Show offers visiting brokers seamless access to explore each yacht at berth. Complimentary ground and water transfers link the marinas throughout the event, making it easy to move between displays and scheduled tours.

Atlantis Marina
Positioned beneath the iconic Atlantis Resort, this marina offers a lively backdrop with dining, entertainment, and resort amenities just moments away. Its wide slips and central waterfront promenade make it a focal point of the show.

Bay Street Marina
Located in downtown Nassau, Bay Street Marina provides easy access to some of the area’s finest restaurants, galleries, and boutique shopping. Its convenient position creates a natural connection between the show and the cultural rhythm of the city.

Hurricane Hole Superyacht Marina
Set on the eastern end of Paradise Island, Hurricane Hole has recently undergone extensive redevelopment, now offering deepwater berths, private docking services, and a sleek, modern harbour village atmosphere designed with superyachts in mind.

Together, these marinas create an immersive experience for industry professionals, offering insight into how charter guests may begin or conclude a motor yacht charter itinerary.

How the Show Enhances Bahamas Yacht Charters

While the Bahamas Charter Yacht Show is reserved exclusively for brokers, Captains, and crew, its influence is felt far beyond the marina. The purpose of the show is to refine, elevate, and personalise the charter experience for guests planning to explore the Bahamas in the months that follow.

During the event, brokers step aboard the latest charter yachts operating in the region, tour their cabins and social spaces, and spend time understanding the service style and atmosphere onboard.

Meeting the crew face-to-face allows brokers to gain valuable insight into each yacht’s personality, whether it offers a relaxed barefoot-luxury feel or a polished superyacht setting suited to formal entertaining.

This level of first-hand knowledge ensures that when a charter guest begins planning their Bahamas itinerary, their broker can make genuinely tailored recommendations. From identifying yacht charters with beach clubs or standout sundecks, to matching guests with crew known for their cuisine, watersports instruction, or family-friendly hosting style, the result is a yacht charter that feels thoughtfully aligned to each individual group.

Superyachts Attending the Bahamas Charter Yacht Show

The main highlight of the Bahamas Charter Yacht Show is the opportunity to step aboard some of the most notable charter yachts in the Caribbean. Each edition presents a diverse collection of motor yachts and catamaran yacht charters, ranging from sleek contemporary designs to larger superyachts equipped for extended cruising across the Bahamian islands.

Starting with 56 yacht rentals in the first edition, the trade event has rapidly grown traction as a staple yachting event within the Caribbean, welcoming superyachts from some of the biggest shipyards in the industry.

Featuring names like Heesen, Sunseeker, and Christensen, the pontoons offer ample opportunities for brokers to explore the attending yacht charters, gaining first-hand experience of what each superyacht can provide for prospective charter guests.

Already playing host to some staggering yacht rentals, 197.4ft (60.15m) super yacht charter IRON BLONDE took the place of largest yacht in show during the 2024 edition of the Bahamas Charter Yacht Show, plus other well-known fleet yachts including 191ft (58.22m) luxury yacht charter UNBRIDLED, and 163.5ft (49.8m) superyacht rental HOME.

Onboard Experiences & Crew Showcases

Reflecting the importance of service, atmosphere, and presentation in shaping the guest experience on a motor or sailing yacht charter, the show places equal emphasis on the crews themselves. Over the course of the event, crew members are invited to participate in a series of friendly competitions designed to highlight their creativity, hospitality style, and onboard service approach.

Three recurring showcases are central to the show’s identity:

  • Tablescaping Competition - Crews transform their dining settings using only décor elements already carried onboard, creating themed tables that reflect coastal living, Bahamian culture, or the yacht’s individual personality. Previous themes have ranged from tropical garden palettes and shell-inspired ocean textures to refined “barefoot luxury” island elegance.
  • Signature Cocktail Competition - Using a defined set of ingredients, crew design and present a cocktail that captures the spirit of the island chain. Presentations are judged on flavour, creativity, and storytelling, with previous interpretations featuring citrus-forward beach refreshments, infused rum recipes, and ocean-inspired garnishes.
  • Hospitality Showcase (Social Service & Guest Flow) - A more informal but equally influential aspect, where crew demonstrate how they create welcoming, relaxed, and intuitive environments onboard. This provides brokers with a real sense of the service style that shapes a Bahamas or Exumas yacht charter.

Points of Interest Surrounding the Bahamas Charter Yacht Show

As many luxury yacht charters in the Bahamas begin their journey in Nassau or Paradise Island, the surrounding area offers a polished introduction to the relaxed, sunlit atmosphere of the Bahamian archipelagos.

Before cruising toward the Exumas and other island chains, charter guests often choose to enjoy a pre-charter stay or evening ashore, taking advantage of the region’s well-established dining scene, beachside lounges, spa retreats, and waterfront views.

Luxury Dining & Lounge Highlights

  • Cafe Martinique - A longstanding fine dining name in Paradise Island, Cafe Martinique offers a classic French-inspired menu in an elegant marina-side environment. The intimate atmosphere and focus on seasonal ingredients make it well-suited to small groups seeking a relaxed, refined evening.

  • Nobu, Atlantis Paradise Island - Set within the Atlantis Paradise Island resort, Nobu brings contemporary Japanese dining to Paradise Island with a distinct Bahamian influence. Known for its refined atmosphere and elegant plating, it is a popular choice for a final dinner ashore before boarding the yacht the following morning.
  • Graycliff Restaurant, Downtown Nassau - Located in a heritage mansion, Graycliff is known for its private wine cellar and old-world dining rooms. Guests can also explore the on-site cigar company and chocolate factory, offering an opportunity to pair fine dining with cultural immersion.
  • Shima at The Island House - On the western side of New Providence, Shima presents Southeast Asian-inspired cuisine in a rooftop, open-air setting. Ideal for those seeking a quiet evening away from the main resort areas, it pairs refined dining with a relaxed, residential atmosphere.

Beaches & Leisure

  • Cabbage Beach - Located along the northern edge of Paradise Island, Cabbage Beach is known for its long, sweeping shoreline and clear turquoise shallows. It offers a classic Bahamas beach setting close to many of the main hotels and restaurants, making it a convenient place to relax after arrival or enjoy a morning swim before boarding a Bahamas charter yacht.
  • Paradise Beach - More secluded in nature, Paradise Beach offers sheltered waters and a calm environment framed by soft white sand and tropical greenery. This is an ideal option for those seeking a quieter setting without travelling far from the marina or resort areas.
  • Jaws Beach - Positioned on the western side of New Providence and part of Clifton Heritage National Park, Jaws Beach offers a peaceful backdrop with fewer visitors and still shallow waters. Often chosen by photography enthusiasts and early risers, it provides a tranquil introduction to the island’s natural landscapes.
