Ideal for Summer Season
Home to some of the world’s most spectacular scenery, the fjords stretching up Norway’s western coast were practically made for sailing. Weave in and out of their bays, ogling the green mountains rising up out of the water around you and landing to hike or bike along the shores whenever you want. Encounter glaciers, blossoming orchards cascading down hillsides, glassy waters, and cities and villages that have lived in this landscape for centuries.
- Day 1
Bergen
Arrive in Bergen, the second-largest city in Norway and the gateway to the Fjords. This is where your luxury yacht charter adventure will begin.
The city has a beautiful setting between 7 mountains offering stunning views of the city and surrounding fjords and islands. She has now gained a place on UNESCO’s world heritage list. Founded in 1070, Bergen grew up around its colorful harbor - it was the hub of commerce, seafaring and craftsmanship. Aside from their commercial interests, Bergen merchants had a nose for culture; this city has one of the world’s oldest symphony orchestras, the country’s first national theatre, a host of international festivals, and a whole range of museums and institutions.
- Day 2
Rosendal
The second day of your yacht charter sees you in the romantic city of Rosendal, located between Stavanger and Bergen.
The region is most famous for its music festival at the end of May and the Barony, which is the smallest “palace” in all of Scandinavia. Visit the museum and take a guided tour of the premises, including a grand garden that is often thought to be the most magnificent Victorian garden in Norway, to get a real feel of the royalty that resided there for centuries. Other activities you might enjoy here are kayaking in the Hardanderfjord or exploring Stone Park in the Folgefonna National Park Centre.
- Day 3
Lysefjorden
Wake up ready for a day full of adventure as you explore one of the most spectacular fjords in Norway, the mountains are more than 1000 meters high, and the fjord is about 500 meters deep.
The mountain Fantahåla seems to close over your head when the yacht is inside. Further along the fjord, you’ll see some friendly goats that have become an attraction to the ships passing through. A popular activity is to feed the goats from the bow of your charter yacht.
The Pulpit Rock is only a short distance away. It is a massive cliff 604 meters above the fjord. The top of the cliff is approximately 25 by 25 meters, square, and almost flat. Once on the edge of the top, as many hikers have experienced, one may definitely feel the desire to jump, invited by some sort of mystic voice, in a real dream of flying, which contributes to Preikestolen’s majestic reputation. It is quite normal to see people up there sitting with their feet over the edge.
- Day 4
Stavanger
Today marks the day that you get to witness the blissful Stavanger, a culturally rich region that includes mountains, waterfalls, fjords and beaches, and is home to the third largest city in Norway.
Countless possibilities await you here, including kayaking, hiking, cycling, fishing, exploring the city, and maybe even swimming if the weather allows. Known as the oil capital of Norway, businesses thrive here and it is always easy to find something to do. If you’re interested, embark on wildlife safari to see gigantic king crabs, reindeer, musk oxen and elks.
- Day 5
Bergen
Enjoy an idyllic cruise back to Bergen where you will say goodbye to the crew and disembark.
Admire the picturesque views from the sundeck of your motor yacht and toast a glass of champagne to an incredible Norway yacht charter vacation. If time allows, have a look at the quaint shops and enjoy a coffee from one of the colorful establishments along the waterfront. Say your farewells to the crew and take a private transfer to the airport for your onward journey back home to reality, leaving you with fantastic memories as you go.
