Get ready to embark on a journey unlike any other as Van der Valk's motor yacht Project 111.11 unveils its luxurious interior inspired by the moon and Mars.
Carla Guilhem, the talented designer behind the interior of the exquisite yacht Project 111.11, aimed to create something truly extraordinary. Moving along a similar design trail to charter yacht GALAXY and her planetary interiors, inspiration for Project 111.11 was taken from the moon and Mars, with Guilhem setting out to design a futuristic interior that maintains a sense of elegance and remains grounded in reality. Although the completion of the yacht is scheduled for late 2024, we can already anticipate a custom masterpiece from the Van der Valk Shipyard, filled with meticulously tailored details.
Earlier this year, the shipyard announced the signing of the contract, leaving eager enthusiasts in anticipation of further details after the finalization of the interior design. With three decades of cruising experience under their belt, the owners had a clear vision in mind. They desired a proven full-displacement hull form, but they also yearned for four decks that showcased their unique ideas.
Van der Valk suggested incorporating the engineering platform from the renowned yacht LADY LENE. This choice allowed for the inclusion of five luxurious cabins, a combination toy garage and beach club ideal for Mediterranean voyages, and much more.
"The layout we ultimately developed revolves around entertaining large groups of people in style on a 34-meter vessel with a genuinely impressive degree of volume," explains Yoeri Bijker, head of sales and marketing. Additionally, the yacht Project 111.11 will meet RINA classification for charter usage and will feature commercial 750-hp Volvo Pentas, enabling a top speed of just over 14 knots.
Reaching a final agreement on the styling and interior design of the yacht Project 111.11 required numerous conversations. Initially, the owners desired a design with hard lines but then opted for a cozier approach which was met after three days of sketching by Guilhem. "We have opted for a futuristic feel," she says. "Those who step onboard Project 111.11 will feel like they're being embraced in an otherworldly but inviting environment."
The celestial-inspired shapes, reminiscent of the moon and Mars, seamlessly flow from the accommodations for ten guests to the asymmetrical sky lounge. Practicality was also a key consideration, as the owners plan to embark on extended cruising trips. In their main deck cabin, they have an office that caters to all their work needs.
Another practical feature is the laundry chute in their suite, which conveniently leads to the spacious laundry area below decks. To ensure impeccable service, the crew has a watertight door connecting their quarters directly to the guest quarters.
Ultimately, the yacht Project 111.11 promises to be a delightful vessel for all who step aboard, including the crew. The owners envision a seamless interaction between guests and crew and enjoy being in the country-kitchen galley while entertaining. Guido de Groot perfectly sums it up, stating, "This will be a fun boat for all who step aboard."
It is unknown whether Project 111.11 will enter the charter market following delivery, but if you're interested in booking a luxury yacht charter for the forthcoming winter season, contact your preferred yacht charter broker today.
