Celebrating the first boat show in South East Asia for over two years, organisers of the Thailand Yacht Show have confirmed this year’s sixth edition will now be staged across a two-show formula, marking a considerable step change to their annual format of the show.
Representing a significant extension to their 6-year yacht show portfolio, organisers confirmed the new bi-annual event will be held in Pattaya and Phuket at either end of the yachting season.
It is understood that the main drive behind this development is to reach a wider audience, ensuring the Thailand Yacht Show will be “bigger, more representative of the whole of the industry, and far more easily accessible to visitors from all over Thailand”, as well as to exhibitors and stakeholders from all sectors of the yachting industry.
The first event will take place between the 9th - 13th June on the region’s east coast in the Gulf of Thailand. The show will be staged at the world-class Ocean Marina in Pattaya, where upgrades and extensions are being finalised in time for the show.
The major focus for the Pattaya event will be on production yachts and the domestic market, although organisers say they will include “as many superyachts as are available in the area.”

Special features will include the newly refurbished Ocean Marina Yacht Club, a diving exhibition, live sailing and boating experiences, plus sea trials on high-quality charter yachts. Organisers say they currently have 22 yachts booked in, and are expecting over 50.
The second instalment of the show will take place in December on Thailand's west coast at its major superyacht hub on the island of Phuket, with exact dates and location yet to be confirmed.
This part of the show is intended to focus on the fleet of foreign-owned vessels that are expected to arrive in the latter end of the year to enjoy Thailand's celebrated cruising grounds during the traditional yachting winter season.
The cruising grounds of the Gulf of Thailand are some of the most spectacular in the world, offering myriad tranquil beaches, secluded lush rainforest-clad islands and year-round balmy temperatures.
Some of the popular hotspots include the celebrated islands of Koh Samui and Koh Phangan, as well as the breathtakingly beautiful Mu Ko Chang and Mu Ko Ang Thong National Marine Parks.
