New legislation means a significantly higher number of luxury yachts are available to charter in the Balearics and French Polynesia from summer 2015.
A rule that previously banned charter yachts registered in non-European Union countries has now been lifted in the Balearic Islands. This change means superyachts flagged in the Cayman Islands, for example, can now offer luxury charters in the islands from next summer.
It is thought this change will affect charter yachts that are permanently based in the Balearics for whole seasons, with full details of the change to be announced in summer 2015.
Yacht charterers from now on will have a wider selection of superyacht to choose from, as owners with yachts in the Balearics for a full season can now make them available for charter.
If you are considering a charter vacation Balearics, feel free to view all luxury yachts available to charter in popular hotspot Ibiza, and talk to your preferred charter broker about planning your dream charter itinerary.
