Double Launch: Damen Yachting Unveils Two Amels Limited Edition Yachts

Over 50 Amels Limited Edition yachts are currently gracing harbors worldwide. Until now, each launch has been a solo occasion with no two yachts launched simultaneously. However, Damen Yachting marked a departure from this trend this week by launching two Amels Limited Edition yachts at once - the eighth Amels 242 and the fourth Amels 200.

The latest Amels 242, which is yet to be named, joins a prestigious family that includes M&EM, AVANTI, SYNTHESIS, and PLVS VLTRA. The recently launched Amels 200 is part of the same series that also includes STELLA M. Both yachts, like all other Amels Limited Editions, boast unique styling by Tim Heywood, with Damen Yachting allowing owners to add personal touches. Interestingly, both owners opted for Winch Design to customize their interiors, leveraging the wide scope for personalization.

The Amels 242 motor yacht will be easily recognizable when she sets sail in June, thanks to her striking blue hull, a color choice that the owner, his team, and Damen Yachting carefully selected from a range of blue shades. The final choice was flag blue, which contrasts beautifully with oyster white on the topsides. The owner's love of blue extends to the yacht's interior where Winch Design has incorporated the color into the saloons, staterooms, and foyers, including a wall of semi-precious agate blue stones that greets guests on entry.

The Amels 200 has been personalized according to the owner’s specific needs. As the owner and his family plan to combine remote work and entertaining onboard for extended periods in the Mediterranean, comfort was a priority. For this reason, every deck has an alfresco bar and a second balcony has been added to the main deck. This Amels 200 sports a whisper grey hull, a shade that is echoed in the superstructure’s curves and the glass windbreakers on various decks.

Scheduled to both be delivered in 2025, the Amels 242 and the Amels 200 can accommodate 12 guests.
