Charter Yacht NERO Has New Owners Yet Remains on the Charter Market

By Editorial Team   14 May 2014

Inspired by the sophisticated ‘Corsair’ series of yachts owned by banker JP Morgan in the early 20th century, the 90m charter yacht NERO was sold last week making it the largest sale of the year so far.

Showcasing the authentic lines and form of a classic steam yacht but with the speed, luxury and technology of a modern superyacht, NERO has had an undeniably successful five-year charter career playing host to a number of illustrious guests. Despite being sold, she remains on the charter market ready for the Mediterranean season.

Built in 2008 in China, NERO is a comfortable family charter yacht that is also suitable for hosting large events due to her vast sun deck and numerous exterior seating and dining areas. Winner of the 2009 ShowBoats Award as the Best Motor Yacht Over 75m, she boasts a 5.5m side boarding platform that provides a beach from which her guests can swim and dive, along with a fantastic selection of water toys.

NERO underwent a comprehensive winter maintenance period in 2012 that included the reconfiguration of the aft suite to a sixth stateroom, the replacement of the carpets in the guests areas and a complete engine room repaint, as well as additional routine maintenance throughout. Her accommodation comes in the form of a master suite, a VIP stateroom, two doubles and two twins to sleep up to 12 charter guests.

NERO is the only modern classic motor yacht of her size on the water. The embodiment of grace and elegance, she stands out as one of the iconic yachts of the modern era and is one of a kind. She is available to charter this season from €395,000 per week. Contact your yacht charter broker for more information.
