Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 returns to the Mediterranean

By Nina Done   22 February 2022

Fans of Below Deck Sailing Yacht are in for a treat, with a brand new series on board superyacht PARSIFAL III premiering on Bravo every Monday night at 9/8c.

Perini Navi’s 54m (177ft) charter yacht PARSIFAL III is back where she traditionally charters, with this season set in the stunning Balearic island of Menorca where viewers will get to see what it’s like to travel by superyacht in the West Mediterranean; one of the most sought-after superyacht destinations on the planet.

This season’s crew line up features a few familiar faces, including Chief Officer Gary King and Chief Engineer Colin MacRea. Chief Steward Daisy Kelliher will also be returning to head up a brand new interior team.

Of course, Below Deck Sailing would not be complete without the ever-congenial Captain Glenn Shephard, a firm favorite for regular viewers of the show.

YachtCharterFleet managed to grab a few moments with Captain Glenn about his thoughts on the latest season: "It's great to have some of the old gang back; Gary, Daisy and Colin, and some great new people."

When asked about the location, he replied, "it's going to be a great season ... Menorca is such a beautiful area for cruising."

Judging by the teaser clips, season 3 promises plenty of drama, with love triangles, arguments and accidents, not to mention some serious choppy sailing conditions creating mayhem for both crew and guests alike.

Sailing yachts heel (lean) as the wind takes them, which can wreak havoc in the interior and sometimes be dangerous under certain circumstances. "Sailing definitely adds an element of unpredictability," says Captain Glenn. "There's always danger in everything.”

Life on board a sailing yacht

For newbies to Below Deck, the hit show is all about life aboard a private yacht charter, with crew dynamics in the spotlight treating viewers to plenty of fireworks of both the romantic and dramatic variety.

The cramped crew quarters of a sailing yacht add to the drama as crew try their best to deliver their signature silver service in a highly-pressurized environment, guaranteed to cause ructions between the crew and add even more action and excitement to the show.

The show will premiere every Monday night on Bravo at 8-9pm ET, with each episode available for streaming the follwing day on Peacock.
